RICHLAND, WA- More than a dozen dogs and their owners dressed up in their favorite Halloween costumes for the Costume Pooch Parade Saturday in Richland.

Each year, dogs and their owners are invited to join in as each one lines up to show off around the Richland Community Center and Howard Amon Park.  Not only is it just fun for both owners and dogs, but it also helped out a good cause because owners donated a bag a dog food.

"I just really like to come out and help support anything that helps with animals and to make sure my dog is well socialized with kids," said Summer Calabro with her dog Summer.

The parade started Saturday morning just after 11 a.m.  There were also prizes for the most creative attire.  The donated dog food will go to local pets in need.
