Investigation Continues After Walla Walla Teacher Struck and Killed by Car on Reser Road

UPDATE: The Walla Walla Coroners Office says an autopsy has been completed on Brian Senter. It revealed the cause of death as blunt force trauma to the head and chest. The manner of death is accidental.

The Walla Walla Public Schools staff, friends and family of Brian Senter are planning a public Memorial Service October 31 at 11 a.m. at their high school gym. 

The fall drama production has also started accepting donations for their performance, to fund a scholarship for the drama program in Senter's honor.

WALLA WALLA, WA- 50-year-old Walla Walla High School Drama teacher Brian Senter was struck and killed by a car Saturday night on the 1200 block of Reser Road. 

The collision happened before 10 p.m. on Reser Road.  Brian Senter was taken to Providence St. Mary Medical Center where he later died. 

Earlier investigations revealed Mr. Senter was a pedestrian in the east bound lane of Reser Road and there was only one vehicle, also traveling east bound on Reser Road, involved in this collision. 

Jim Kuntz, the Port of Walla Walla Executive Director was the driver of the Ford Ranger pick-up that struck Senter.  Deputies say Kuntz was cooperative and he voluntarily offered to take a Preliminary Breath Test and a voluntary blood test.  The PBT results showed there was no alcohol in his system.

The incident is still under investigation by the Walla Walla Sheriff's Office.
