TRI-CITIES, WA- Loads of runners raced through the Tri-Cities for the Tri-Cities Marathon Sunday, but there were also a few very special competitors eager to get started, name Chucky and Dominic.

Local law enforcement agencies in the Tri-Cities teamed up to help Chucky and Dominic, both with the ARC of Tri-Cities, roll through the finish line.  Officers took turns to push them through each mile of the race while they passed runners and fought the cold.

Dominic said he appreciated the help.

"I love these guys.  These guys are special," said Dominic, one of the duo runners for the ARC of Tri-Cities.

"They were very competitive.  They were telling the runners to run faster or run slower, we need to pass people. It was just a great time and it's a great way to give back to the community," said Detective Athena Clark with the Richland Police Department.

Richland and Pasco Fire Departments, along with Kennewick, Pasco, and Richland Police Departments all showed up to support the duo.
