Escaped Inmate from Lincoln County Jail May be Armed

LINCOLN COUNTY, Wash. - The Lincoln County Sheriff's Office is looking for an inmate who escaped from jail Friday morning. 

According to the Lincoln County Sheriff's Facebook page, 34-year-old Ronald Alan Rutledge escaped in a civilian vehicle and then ditched it. He then went into a house and stole an ATV. The Sheriff's Office says he has since ditched the ATV and they believe he is on foot. Rutledge was last seen north of Bergeron, west of Highway 231 and south of Fisher Rd. 

Rutledge was in jail for one count of 2nd degree burglary and 2 counts of theft of a motor vehicle. He has been in jail since September 1, 2015. 

He is wearing a blue coat and a green beanie hat. The Sheriff's Office says if you see him, do not try to apprehend him, as they believe he may be armed.Instead, call 911.
