First Annual Halloween Spooktacular in Yakima

YAKIMA, Wash. -

Kids in Yakima got a nice pre 'trick or treat' hangout in downtown. The first annual “Halloween Spooktacular” provided kids and parents with an afternoon of free and lively activities. Everything from a costume contest, face painting and meeting fire fighters..

Kids of all ages came in an assortment of costumes, everything from how to train your dragon, to top gun and even princess Elsa...

"bringing my grandchildren out and my daughter... It's really nice here, i like it..." says parent Ruth Lemon

The event also featured the Yakima roller derby and magician Maritess Zurbano who provided entertainment for the crowds. The event went on from 2 to 5 pm this afternoon, a perfect way for parents to burn off a little energy before going trick or treating...
