Supposed Armed Robbery in Yakima Turns Out To Be A False Alarm

Posted: Updated:
YAKIMA, Wash. -

Yesterday afternoon, police were tipped off to an armed robbery in progress at a Conoco gas station on Nob Hill and 3rd in Yakima. The suspect was described to be a Hispanic male wearing a gray hoodie. When police arrived on scene, the clerk explained that no robbery had taken place, and in fact, the man described to be the suspect was actually customer that left the store without taking anything.

The clerk also said police requested to see security camera footage, but weren't able to without permission from a manager who wasn't there at the time.

So far, police have not yet commented on the situation although the store clerk has assured us that no robbery actually took place.
