Richland Parks and Recreation Brings KnockerBall to the Tri-Cities

RICHLAND, WA - The Richland Parks and Recreation Department is introducing the sport of KnockerBall to the Tri-Cities with a tournament coming up later this month. They want to try something different and said that KnockerBall is an intense but fun sport that they think will be very popular. For the tournament players will wear a giant plastic bubble ball and run around playing what they are calling bubble soccer.
      
"It's really fun because you kind of combine two different things people who like soccer or just wanna be outdoors and running around you throw in something a little new and different like putting a ball on you, a big bubble, it just adds a new element and makes it a lot more fun," says Drew Tomasino, Richland Parks and Recreation.

They play four five minute quarters per game and the tournament is Friday November 20th. It's 50 dollars for a team of up to six players and you must be 18 or older to play. They also have plans to start a league coming up in January.
