Wapato Woman Dies in Vehicle Accident Near Toppenish

TOPPENISH, WA - Washington State Patrol said a woman from Wapato died after a car accident near Toppenish.

60-year-old Sharon Wesley of Wapato died at the scene of a crash on Fort Road and Lateral A Road Tuesday morning just before 9 o'clock.

Troopers say as Wesley was attempting a U-turn in her Chevrolet Aveo she was stuck by 25-year-old Tyler Lowe, of Kennewick, driving his Ford F-250 pick-up truck.

The accident is still under investigation and no charges have been filed.
