PASCO, WA- Veterans in Pasco, along with community members and police officers gathered at the Columbia Memorial Garden for Wednesdays Veterans Day ceremony.

Speaker, Vietnam Vet, former Pasco City Councilman and Bronze Star recipient Edgar Davis Hargrow gave a moving speech that was completely off script.

He asked the crowd why they came to remember those who fought and died for our freedom. Hargrow told the crowd he does not believe our freedom is found in a, "personality", and he says it does not come from any politician.

"The heart and soul of America has always been found in the fighting soldiers, the men and the women of this country. Those who have laid down their life, that is where this freedom comes from. That is where our freedom comes from. I do not care what they say and what they talk about, what they can do," said Hargrow.

Hargrow says, we should not just use this day to remember our veterans, but be "here" for them.
