WEST RICHLAND, WA- Some pretty unique quilts filled the Sandberg Event Center in West Richland Sunday for the "Remembering Our History" event.

The event was put on by the White Bluffs Quilt Museum.  Historians told the crowd about the history behind each piece of art on display, many of them having local ties.  One of those quilts told some of the Hanford story and how the community has changed over the years.

"If we don't understand our history, how can we understand our future?  The quilt is going to outlive you and this quilt has outlived many generations. these quilts tell the history of families in this area and that's what we're here to celebrate," said Virginia Treadway, with White Bluffs Quilt Museum in Richland.

Monday, Mary Bywater Cross, the speaker at Sunday's event, will make more stops if you want to catch up on more history.  She will be at Hillspring Church in Richland at 10:30 a.m. and again at 7 p.m.  For more info, click here.
