Kennewick Police Arrest Man on Suspicion of Drug and Gun Possession, Find Two Runaways

Posted: Updated:

KENNEWICK, WA - Kennewick Police arrested a convicted 18-year-old felon on suspicion of drug and stolen gun possession and found two Kennewick runaways Saturday.

Officers say on Saturday they responded to a home on the 800 block of S. Alder St. To a report that a runaway minor was at that location.

Officers say no one came to the door even though they could hear people inside the home. They went back later and noticed a dark SUV in the driveway which had been reported stolen out of Olympia.

They say 18-year-old Ethan Piper left the home and was not cooperative with police. They arrested him as two other people ran out the back door of the house.

Officers found one of them, a runaway boy out of Kennewick hiding in a nearby yard. They arrested him on suspicion of Possession of Stolen Property and a juvenile warrant. Police also found a runaway girl out of Kennewick hiding in a closet.

Police say they were told Piper may have had drugs and guns and after getting search warrant officers found two stolen guns, drugs and paraphernalia as well as tactical police gear in Piper's room.

Deputies booked him into the Benton County Jail on suspicion of Possession of a Stolen Firearm 1st Degree, Unlawful Possession of a Firearm, and Possession of a Controlled Substance.
