YAKIMA, WA (AP) - While the issue of Syrian refugees has dominated headlines in the wake of terrorist attacks in Paris on Friday, data from the Washington Department of Social and Health Services shows very few have come to the state over the past five years.
    
More than 10,000 international refugees that have to come to Washington in the last five years and 28 people have relocated from Syria since October 2011.
    
Data shows in the same time period, more than 21 percent of refugees in Washington have come from Iraq, or 2,231 Iraqis total.

More than 15 percent, or 1,580 total, have come from Somalia. Hundreds of other refugees come from Myanmar, Bhutan, Ukraine, the Democratic Republic of the Congo, Afghanistan, Iran, Eritrea and Moldova.
