Update on Tri-Cities Water Park in the Making for 10 Years

Posted: Updated:

TRI-CITIES, WA- Since 2010 Mike Hillman has been working on making plans for a water park to be built in the Tri-Cities. At the time, the economy wasn't as strong as it is today which led him to a lot of obstacles.

He put the idea on the back burner until he felt he could more confidently pursue the plans. Hillman told us today, "I wanted to wait for the right time, that time is now". The most difficult part of the planning process is the financial aspect. Hillman believes he can overcome that obstacle and get the plans moving, "I have a verbal agreement with a lender for about 3 million dollars, I'm planning on putting at least half a million dollars of my own money in the project, and then trying to bridge the gap on financing, one way is through a GoFundMe like I've started".

Hillman is reaching out to the community for support with this project. He told us Thursday, he thinks this is just what the Tri-Cities needs, more family attractions.
