Walla Walla Drama Students Say 'The Show Must Go On'

Posted: Updated:

WALLA WALLA, Wash. - The cast and crew of Walla Walla High School's fall drama production "A Long Bridge Over Deep Water" are moving forward with the plan. This, even after the death of their director and drama teacher, Brian Senter. Senter died in late October after getting hit by a car while walking down a street near his home. Students say they're doing this production for him.

"I know he would be proud of us and he believed in this show so much. He fought for us to put this show on and every night we do it, we do it for him. And you can feel his spirit when we do it. You really can," said cast member, Velia Saldivar.

Donations for the play are going toward a scholarship in Brian Senter's honor. There are two more performances this weekend. You can go on Friday night at 7 p.m., Saturday at 2 p.m. or 7 p.m. It's at the Walla Walla High School Performing Arts Auditorium.
