OneAmerica Rallies to Gain Support in Favor of Obama's Executive Actions on Immigration

Posted: Updated:

YAKIMA, WA - Earlier this month, the Fifth Circuit Court of Appeals ruled against Obama Administration's executive actions on immigration.

Executive actions that would have granted 5 million people relief from deportation. Part of the initiative included expansion of a program called Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA), protecting young immigrants from deportation if they were brought to the U.S. illegally as children.

Today, the OneAmerica organization will be hosting several rallies around the country, including Washington state, to call attention to the issue.

We had a chance to talk to Ivan Sandoval and Ranfelix Gutierrez, two local OneAmerica organizers who tell us how they're taking action locally.

Details for WA rallies:

YAKIMA: Millennium Plaza, 12 p.m.

SEATTLE: Seattle Federal Courthouse, 3:30 p.m.

VANCOUVER: St. Luke's Episcopal Church, 10 a.m.
