NEAR ROYAL CITY, WA- Grant County Sheriff's deputies are asking for your help finding 55-year-old Thomas Stieg.

"Available volunteers with knowledge of the area, and in good physical shape for the hiking conditions, are asked to show up tomorrow morning when the search resumes:   

Monday, 8:00am  November 23, 2015  Meeting location: GPS N46* 54' 52" W119* 49' 30"  Directions: State Route 26 west of Royal City, go south on Road J-SW for 1 mile, go east on Road 14 for 1/4 mile, then south on Road I.8 SW. Go 1/2 mile and curve to the right on Road 14.5. Go 3/4 mile to the traffic cones. The search area is south of there. Follow the power line road.

Thomas Mark Stieg is described as 6 feet tall and approximately 180 pounds. He was last known wearing camouflage clothing and would have had his archery equipment with him. Stieg reportedly left home at 3am on November 20th for a one day hunt. His last known whereabouts are in the bluffs above Crab Creek, approximately 2.5 miles south of Hwy 26, west of Royal City. Stieg was driving a black 2013 Ford F150, license plate number B58677Y."

Near ROYAL CITY, WA- Grant County deputies are still searching for 55-year-old Thomas Stieg, an archery hunter, who went missing Friday near Crab Creek, just west of Royal City.

Thomas Stieg's family pointed out an area he might be found Saturday, but law enforcement was unsuccessful.  Teams including deputies, firefighters, other local officials, Department of Fish and Wildlife, and other volunteers are all searching for Stieg.  Spokane Sheriff’s Office has a helicopter to help out with air coverage. 

Officials found Stieg's pickup truck around 3 p.m. Saturday, Stieg was not near. Hunters in the area were contacted and asked to remain on the lookout.

Stieg is 6 feet tall and approximately 180 pounds. He was last seen wearing camouflage clothing and would have had his archery equipment with him. The Grant County Sheriff's Office said Stieg left home at 3 a.m. on Friday for a one day hunt. His last known whereabouts are in the bluffs above Crab Creek, 2.5 miles south of Highway 26, west of Royal City. Stieg was driving a black 2013 Ford F150, license plate number B58677Y.
