RICHLAND, WA- 8-year-old Miguel Santana, who is battling Leukemia, got surprised by two police officers in the hospital.

Miguel Santana told his nurse every day that he wants to be a police officer.  He said it so many times, that his nurse, Katie O'Leary, decided to make that happen.  Monday, two Pasco Police officers surprised Miguel with a special visit at Kadlec Regional Medical Center.

After the officers arrived, they took Miguel downstairs to check out the police car.  Miguel did not drive, but he did get in the driver's seat to check out all the gear inside.  He has even told everyone that he has wanted to be an officer for years.

"I like how they dress up in cop suits.  They can arrest people that are not nice," said Santana.

"It made me feel so good that he got to do something fun today at the hospital instead of the hard procedures.  He got to do something fun that was just for him," said O'Leary.

That was not all.  Miguel was even sworn in by the two officers. Miguel's nurse that organized this said he has even joked a few times about giving her a speeding ticket.
