Semi Collision Along I-90 Near Cle Elum

KITTITAS COUNTY, Wash. - The Washington State Patrol said Tuesday morning one semi crashed into another semi heading eastbound along Interstate 90 when one driver fell asleep at the wheel. 

Troopers said the accident happened around 3 a.m. about 28 miles west of Cle Elum. 34-year-old Jason Roff of Arizona was driving east along I-90 when he fell asleep and struck another semi parked in the eastbound I-90 chain off area. Inside that semi was 37-year-old Jose Flores of Yakima.

Roff along with a passenger inside his semi were taken to Haborview Medical Center. Flores was taken to Snoqualmie Valley Hospital. 

Roff is facing charges of Negligent Driving in the 2nd Degree.
