KENNEWICK, WA- Saturday afternoon local community members gathered together as the Tri-Cities Habitat for Humanity dedicated two homes to families in need. The families came from Burmese as refugees and were happy to official receive the keys to their new home.

The crowd was made up of volunteers, representatives from local businesses and even some city officials including Police Chief Ken Hohenberg were there to welcome the family members into their new homes.

Battell worked closely with Habitat for Humanity during the past eight months working on each of the projects. We talked with their Executive Director of External Relations Paula Linnen and she told us, "we think about how we can transform the world really through courageous discovery and innovation in the case of science and technology but in the case of community it's demonstrating  excellence in community services means we can be transformative in our local community that's what it means to us, it's very personal".

The families there today were appreciative to all who were there to show their support. Battell and Habitat for Humanity were also overjoyed to reach such a big milestone together.
