Annual Santa Paws Photo Shoot Helps Raise Money for Pets Over Population Prevention

Posted: Updated:

RICHLAND, WA- On Sunday December 6, furry friends stopped by the Pet Over Population Prevention in Richland to sit on Santa's lap for their snapshot.

They have been holding this annual event for about 15 years and they told us they have never had as many cats before. With an hour left in the event Sunday, they already had about 70 pets sit with Santa.

We talked with Santa Claus about the exciting event and he told us aside from reindeer he is truly a cat guy. He also continued to tell us, "to be able to be apart of something that brings goodness to these animals for adoptions and fostering, it's just wonderful, I love this organization and I love the animals".

From little dogs to big dogs, cats to kittens and even some family members joined in on the photo fun, a great success for the organization.
