KENNEWICK, WA - The Kennewick Police Department said a woman found a bullet holes and bullet inside her home after police got reports of two gunshots heard.

Officers went to the 600 block of N. Tweedt on December 5th at 3:30 am. to check the area and speak with neighbors who had heard the shots.

One woman told police a bullet entered the west outside wall of her home just below a picture window. 

Police said the bullet struck a sofa and then traveled through an inner wall striking the dishwasher and the slug was found on the kitchen floor.

Officers checked the street and found one .45 shell casing on the west side of the street in front of 620 N. Tweedt. 

A second shell casing of the same make and caliber was located on the west side of the street in front of 610 N. Tweedt.

A vehicle was heard leaving the area just after the shots was fired. No description of the vehicle was obtained. No one was injured, according to police release.
