Washington State Department of Transportation  and Washington State control are dealing with multiple road closures due to mudslides and flooding.

US 12 is closed between Packwood and Naches due to washed out roads on the west of White Pass, and rock slides on US 12 east of White Pass.

The water on the Naches River is at flood level and WSP has patrols set up along Highway 12 to make sure residents are safe if the water continues to rise.

Trooper Wright with the Washington State Patrol has informed us that State Route 2 is closed just west of Leavenworth through Tumwater Canyon to Coles Corner due to some mudslides in the area.  In some places the mudslide is ten feet deep. There is currently no known estimated time that highway will re-open.

For those trying to access Stevens Pass the detour is to take highway 209  to highway 207 through the town of Plain.
