Kennewick City Council Member Retires After 28 years of Service

KENNEWICK, WA-  The city of Kennewick celebrated the retirement of council member Bob Olson. He was elected to city council and has served on the council for twenty-eight years. Olson has worked to improve local transportation infrastructure including greater regional cooperation on transportation issues. He served four terms as president of the council of governments and was appointed to serve on the state's transportation improvement board in two-thousand- twelve. Over one-hundred people came out to celebrate Olson where he was presented with a plaque and after construction, between Sherman Street and West 10th Avenue the connecting street will be named Bob Olson Parkway.
