83-Year-Old Man Injured After Car Rolled on I-182

RICHLAND, WA- An 83-year-old Richland man was taken to the hospital Friday evening after his car while on I-182. 

Troopers said just before 6 p.m., Albert Santjer was heading east along Interstate 182 to get on Highway 240 in Richland when he left the roadway.  Santjer over-corrected, and the vehicle rolled.

 Medics took him to Kadlec Medical Center for injuries.

    Emergency response officials from Benton and Franklin Counties, Energy Northwest and the Department of Energy, will conduct annual siren tests Thursday, October 18, between 10 a.m. and noon. Testing will include sirens along the Columbia and Yakima rivers and in portions of both Benton and Franklin counties within about 10 miles of Columbia Generating Station.
