TOPPENISH, Wash. - The Washington State Patrol said Wednesday night, a Harrah woman was injured after getting hit by a car in Toppenish.

Troopers say around 8:30 p.m. on Wednesday, 54-year-old Jose Sanchez-Romero of Sunnyside was driving west along the 200 block of Fort Rd. when he hit 47-year-old Regina Heemsah who was in the roadway.

Medics took her to Yakima Regional Hospital then later took her to Harborview Medical Center in Seattle. Sanchez-Romero was not injured.
