Run for Ribbons Race brings over 1200 participants to Howard Amon Park

Posted: Updated:

RICHLAND, WA- Over 1200 people crossed the Run for Ribbons finish line Saturday morning. Those battling cancer, supporting those battling cancer or those just wanting to donate to a good cause participated. The route lined the Columbia River and runners ran anywhere from one to six miles.

Some participants created teams and raised money together for the race. One team, John Strong, had about 80 people running for John. He's a Kennewick Police Officer and his brother in law told us Saturday they initially planned on having ten to fifteen runners three weeks ago.
