Be on the lookout for obstructions on the road!

Posted: Updated:

KENNEWICK, WA.-- One man is worried for other drivers in Kennewick after he blew his tire along Vancouver Street Saturday night after hitting a large rock. He says this is a re-occurring issue.

Toby Bullis told us he believes teenagers are responsible for putting large rocks in the road, and claims that this isn't the first time he's seen something like this.

"I was just driving down the street," said Bullis, "and just on the other side of [the] hill [near 7th Avenue] as I was coming down, there was just a rock sitting in the road. It was dark so I didn't really see it, so it blew my tire. I got over here and found that there was a group of teenagers running off into Zintel Canyon because they saw my car coming."

Officers in Kennewick told us if you see any suspicious activity regarding the issue, you need to report it, as the intentional placement of obstructions in the road  can be considered "malicious mischief".
