Pasco residents observe Memorial Day

Posted: Updated:

PASCO, WA.-- Today is a day of remembrance, a chance to honor our fallen heroes, and to celebrate the great things that they've done for our country. At the Columbia Memorial Chapel & Gardens,  some very special guests say a few very special thank yous to our fallen heroes who have served for the United States.

One guest was our very own weatherman, Tim Adams, who spent nearly three decades serving our country as a part of the U.S. Navy

"We depend so much on the men and women who've stepped up and paid the price," said Tim. "Now of course, us old retirees have paid some of the price. But today is about those guys who have made the ultimate sacrifice."

Vicky Bowles was also a part of the ceremonial lineup, sharing with guests her passion for music, as well as her passion for the Armed Forces.

" I belong to the American Legion, and I'm a retired music teacher. In order to occupy my time I wanted to do something, and my grandfather was in the Army, and I just like to help Veterans and do a part of anything I can do to be a part of this Memorial Service. I just-- it really touches my heart."

If there were a word to describe the services today, "heartwarming" would be a great one.
