Crossfit community comes together for a great cause

Posted: Updated:

PASCO, WA.-- Just over a month ago, Shane and Angie Arnott's lives changed completely when Shane went into cardiac arrest after a Crossfit competition.  help arrived in time to save his life, but the struggles are ongoing, as the surgeries required to bring Shane back to health have racked up over fifty-thousand dollars. but with a little help from his friends, family, and fellow Crossfitters, the Arnotts may be very well on their way back to normalcy.

Saturday, friends and family of the Arnotts gathered at the Aegis Team Crossfit gym for a surprise fundraiser- an event that would help the Arnotts pay the climbing medical bills that have resulted from Shane's recent heart attack. The event consisted of a workout, designed with Shane in mind, as well as a silent auction where attendees could buy items donated from local businesses.

"I don't know what to think," Shane said regarding his gratitude for the event, "I'm humbled. This is why we got into this to begin with. It's all about the community... We come here to be a part of something special and, as you can see, this proves it."

The Arnotts have received help from many of their peers, but are still a ways from putting this all behind them. If you'd like to help with a donation, you can do so here
