Silent auction for Madilyn Gabica

Posted: Updated:

RICHLAND, WA.-- A few weeks ago we heard about a tragic accident.... ten-year-old Madilyn Gabica and her died in a u-t-v accident. Today Madilyn's friends, family, and cheer team began a week-long silent auction in her honor.

Madilyn's cheer coach, Ashley Dunstan, tells us there's a lot of sadness, but this auction is a chance for the people who loved Madilyn to come together and celebrate her life.

"It's definitely a tough week," said Dunstan, "I think that we're all just trying to process, and the girls have been there for each other. In such a short about of time, the community and the cheer family were able to put together all of this. We really are family. People sometimes forget that when you're here, you become cheer family."
The silent auction will continue through Friday, June 10, and will be accompanied by an open gym day at the Mid-Columbia Gymnastics Academy. All of the proceeds will go to supporting Madilyn's mother and siblings. If you cannot make it to the auction but would like to help the family, you can do so here
