Battling breast cancer with Bikin' 4 Boobz

KENNEWICK, WA.--Cancer is no laughing matter, but that doesn't mean you can't have fun trying to fight it. That's what I learned today from the 13th annual Bikin' 4 Boobz fundraiser, an event that came together in hopes of donating to the Tri-Cities Cancer Center. The idea of keeping things light is what has made the event such a success, and, more importantly, what has made people like cancer survivor, Art King,  excited to come back for more.

"When I had cancer," said Art, "I did not have to go to Seattle. Having cancer is one of the worst times of your life, so having something here where you can be treated locally is really important."

Last year Bikin' 4 Boobz raised $7,500 dollars for the Tri-Cities Cancer Center. this year, Debbey Gogerty, who organized the event, said she didn't have a monetary goal, but aimed, instead, for people to stay positive and have fun. Needless to say, they did.
