Pasco debuts new fire rescue boat!

Posted: Updated:

PASCO,WA-- Firefighters, police officers, and city officials gathered at the Columbia Marine Center on Friday morning for the debut of Pasco's new fire rescue boat. While the boat has already seen some action over the past few weeks, it had not yet been introduced to the public. However, after months of planning and training, firefighters were finally ready to put it to use.

Pasco City Manager, Dave Zabell, was particularly impressed at the "level of commitment" by all involved, especially the firefighters. "They were training before they even had a boat!" he told KNDU.

Needless to say, firefighters would prefer that residents stay safe and keep a boat rescue out of the question. But should an emergency arise, their goal is to get the boat to it within ten minutes. With the boat's speed topping out at 47mph, that goal is incredibly realistic
