Jet skis stolen from woman's driveway

Posted: Updated:

PASCO, WA.-- Isa Quintanilla looked outside her window Sunday morning only to see that the two jet skis she just purchased had been stolen out of her driveway. She and her husband bought the jet skis for her granddaughters, who came to stay with them for the summer. it's easy to say that their plans to spend the fourth out on the Columbia River came to an end.

"You know, my grandma she doesn't get on the jet ski," said Sofia, Isa's granddaughter, "My grandpa doesn't get on the jet ski. My mom doesn't get on the jet ski. My two sisters? Me? My cousins? We're the ones who get on the jet skis. My grandparents are the ones who paid for them, so they're not only stealing from children, they're stealing from elderly people. It's just not right."

This isn't the only water-vehicle related theft this week. Another woman just down the road from the Quintanilla's in Pasco had her daughter's boat stolen from her driveway on Wednesday.

Sgt. Thompson of the Pasco Police says that boat and jet ski theft is increased during the summer months. If you see any suspicious activity, call 911 immediately, and provide the best description of the person that you can, including their gender, age, race, and the clothing they're wearing.
