Women's self-defense class in Yakima will benefit local YWCA

Yakima, WA - A self-defense seminar for women is happening Saturday, July 9th, and it will benefit the YWCA of Yakima.  Hosted by ProAction Martial Arts, the class will teach women some invaluable techniques on properly protecting themselves against potential dangers.

ProAction's co-owner and head instructor, Josiah Hanks, will lead the class and cover all kinds of self-defense areas like: awareness and strategies for avoiding dangerous situations, boundary setting and conflict resolution skills, along with simple effective combat and escape techniques.

All proceeds will be donated to the YWCA of Yakima, the class is $40 per person, but if someone did want to attend, donations would be accepted.

The class will be held at ProAction Martial Arts at 513 N. 21st Ave., Suite C, Yakima, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.
