Prosser school district completes water testing for all schools and facilities

PROSSER, WA - For the second time since 2004, the Prosser School District has completed voluntary water testing for copper and lead in all schools and district facilities. In 2004, the water testing results verified that all water sources tested were below the EPA's thresholds and were safe for consumption.

To ensure that water in the district continues to be safe for students and staff, the school board authorized additional voluntary water testing which was completed on July 1, 2016. According to PBS Engineering and Environmental, the Richland, Washington based environmental consultants; all water tested for copper and lead is below the EPA thresholds and is safe for consumption. The testing results are available at the school district administration office at 1126 Meade Ave, Prosser. The school district continues to make the safety of its students, staff, and community its number one priority.
