Current And Former Spokane Indians Traded

Nick Green Traded To Yankees Nick Green Traded To Yankees

Former Spokane Indian's player Carlos Beltran was one of the headliners in today's trade deadline as he was traded from the New York Yankees to the Texas Rangers. The thirty-nine-year-old played for the Spokane Indians in 1996 and then two years later made his MLB debut with the Kansas City Royals. Beltran is batting .304 on the season and has hit 22 home runs.

The biggest asset for the Yankees was acquiring Spokane Indians player Dillon Tate. Tate was the fourth overall pick by the Texas Rangers in last years draft, but he wasn't the only Indian to go. The Yankees also acquired Erik Swanson who played 15 games for the Spokane Indians in 2014 and Nick Green who pitched for Spokane last Tuesday night. Green has started seven games this season for the Spokane Indians and has held opponents to a .243 batting average.
