Preparations underway for the 28th Mid-Columbia Duck Race

Posted: Updated:

KENNEWICK, WA- For a few weeks leading up to the event groups and other organizations come together to help gather the thousands of ducks. After talking with event chair Rick Routh and he told us Columbia Industries works mostly with the preparation side of things.

They work with students from the Arc of Tri-Cities who help to number the bottom of the ducks as well as other organizations.

Closer to the event they will fill the dumpster from Basin Disposal that will hold the ducks and then dump them into the Columbia River.
