Richland yard waste collection cancelled for rest of week

Posted: Updated:

RICHLAND, WA - With the freezing weather forecasted for the week, green yard waste containers will NOT be emptied beginning tomorrow (Wednesday, December 7th) through Friday of this week. Green yard waste container collection will continue to follow the normal (every other week) schedule if temperatures allow.

Collection decisions will be made the Friday prior to pick up, based on the most current forecast. For updates, you can follow City of Richland on Twitter and Facebook or sign up for email notifications at www.ci.richland.wa.us/enotify, check the General News Updates box.

As a reminder, frozen yard debris is difficult to remove from containers until thawed. Free yard debris disposal is always available for Richland self-haul customers at the Horn Rapids Landfill, Monday through Saturday from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. More information is available at www.ci.richland.wa.us/solidwaste.
