Latino Civic Alliance hosts second community forum

Posted: Updated:

PASCO, WA - The Latino Civic Alliance hosted it's second series of community forums. Council member Chi Flores, Police Chief Bob Metzger and president of Columbia Basin College Dr. Richard Cummins were among the guest speakers.

The forum was created so community members could express their ideas and opinions on how to create safe and healthy communities. Kate Robinson recently moved to Pasco and said she was impressed by the presentations and the forum was very informative.

"Its important to me to live in a safe, productive community...the kind of place I want to raise my child and live with my family so I wanted to see what's going on and be apart of it," said Robinson.

The Community Visioning Project of Washington hopes to improve relations between the police and the community and improve access to public services like education and mental and physical health.
