Southridge High School Students Placed on Emergency Expulsion

Posted: Updated:

KENNEWICK, WA -- Southridge High School expelled four students after they sent a private Facebook message early this morning to another student saying there will be a school shooting on Monday. The Kennewick Police Department responded immediately and started investigating. Their investigation determined that the four students who sent the Facebook message, meant it as a joke to scare the 5th student, who reported the incident. The four students were placed on emergency expulsion and a hearing is pending. Classes will resume tomorrow as usual.
