Three Rivers Family Medicine donating to Salvation Army

RICHLAND, WA - A local Doctor's office is giving back this holiday season. Three Rivers Family Medicine's annual "Angel Tree" wrapped up today, with donations going to Salvation Army.

The Three Rivers Practice Manager says she was inspired by her father - who she says was always more worried about other people than himself - to start this gift drive.

It's a simple idea, that when put into action goes a long way toward helping the community.

"The Salvation Army brings us tags every year, a little after Thanksgiving," said Pam Staley with Three Rivers Family Medicine. "And we tape them up at our front desk. Patients take them, other business people take them, our staff takes them. And then they buy gifts, bring them back to the office."

More than 160 donations were made this year, including seven bikes, and all the donations will stay local to help children in our area in need this holiday season.
