Union Gap barbershop gives free haircuts to those less fortunate

UNION GAP, WA - A barbershop in Union Gap is staying true to the spirit of giving this holiday season.

Saint's Barbershop offered free haircuts to veterans, the homeless, children, and anyone who needed grooming this Christmas.

Apart from the free haircuts, the barbershop also collected food for the homeless, close to 100 gifts to donate to children, and $2,000 to give to three families in need.

The owner of the shop, Nikolas Saint Aubin, says that he and his crew are just doing their part to help out the community.

"The community is a little broken and there are kids in need," Aubin said. "There are a lot of veterans, and to me, veterans are number one, they keep us safe and we should do the same when they get back."

The barbershop hopes to help as many people as they can through its efforts. They plan on giving haircuts today until everyone who walks through the door is taken care of.

They're still collecting food, toy, and cash donations to continue giving back to the community.

The barbershop plans on making this an annual event; a very admirable move.
