DOE and Bechtel start final phase of vessel testing

Posted: Updated:

RICHLAND, WA - The U.S. Department of Energy Office of River Protection and Bechtel National are now in the final stage of testing in the waste treatment plant. This testing takes a look at the control equipment that mixes radioactive waste at the WTP Pretreatment facility.

This is the third and final phase of vessel testing and should take less than a year to finish. Results of this testing will be used to inform final design of the vessels intended to be installed in the Pretreatment Facility.
