RONALD, WA - A mother and her son are at Harborview Medical Center in Seattle after a snowmobile accident Sunday afternoon.

It happened around 3:30 p.m. off Forest Service Rd. 4330, about four miles northeast from Salmon La Sac Rd.

Kittitas County Sheriff's Deputies say 50-year-old Karen Mayfield and her son 24-year-old Benjamin Mayfield rented a snowmobile when they lost control and got stuck in a tree. Both were ejected from the snowmobile.

The two were airlifted to Harborview, Karen with life threatening injuries, and Benjamin with serious injuries.
