Suspect arrested after hour and a half standoff with SWAT and U.S. Marshal's

UPDATE: 30-year-old Daniel Lee Gunderson is now being held in the Benton County Jail after an hour and a half standoff with SWAT and U.S. Marshal's. Police wanted Gunderson for not registering as a sex offender and an assault charge out of Texas.

Detectives started watching Gunderson's home Wednesday morning near the intersection of Badger and Dallas Roads. Around 4 p.m. They confirmed he was home and called SWAT to help get him out. Deputies say he refused to come out at first, but after they used noise and flash diversionary devices Gunderson surrendered peacefully. 

Gunderson is listed as a level two sex offender and according to the Texas Department of Public Safety was convicted of assaulting a 16-year-old girl in 2014. 

No word yet on which charges he will face first.
