Five book library giveaways in honor of Dr. Seuss' birthday

Posted: Updated:

TRI-CITIES, WA - In honor of Dr. Seuss' birthday, The Children's Reading Foundation of the Mid Columbia will be giving away five book libraries to local elementary school classrooms this year! Local elementary schools are encouraged to submit photos or videos of their classrooms' celebrations. A winner will be selected from the Kennewick School District, Richland School District, Pasco School District, local private elementary schools and other outlying schools (5 total). They will receive a 75 book library from The Children's Reading Foundation of the Mid Columbia.

The Children’s Reading Foundation of the Mid-Columbia invites local elementary school classes to celebrate Dr. Seuss’ birthday on March 2, 2017 by participating in a classroom photo contest. Classrooms can submit photos and videos of their classrooms’ celebrations. Whether they are all wearing hats from Cat in the Hat, performing dramatic readings or enacting their favorite scenes or lines – we want to see it all! The classroom that produces the winning photo/video will receive a 75-book library.

There are two ways to enter.

  1. Post your photo or video to your school or Facebook page and tag The Children’s Reading Foundation of the Mid-Columbia (@read20minutes) and include the hashtag #read20minuteseveryday.

  2. If you do not have a Facebook page photos and videos may be submitted via email to sara@read20minutes.com. Emailed photos will only be considered an entry and will not be posted, printed or reproduced.

The Rules:

  • Multiple entries are encouraged.
  • In the words of Dr. Seuss, “You can find magic wherever you look. Sit back and relax, all you need is a book.”
  • Photos/videos can be emailed to sara@read20minutes.com OR posted on Facebook and tagged with @read20minutes.com and hashtag @read20minuteseveryday by 3:00 p.m. on Friday, March 3rd, 2017.
