PASCO, WA - A Kennewick man is on a 72 hour investigative hold for Attempting to Elude officers early Friday morning. 

Pasco Police tell NBC Right Now, 20-year-old Dwight Norwood Jr. was allegedly driving recklessly when he crashed his car into an irrigation canal on north of Argent near Road 52.

Norwood ran away from the accident and officers couldn't find him at first. Then, around 4:30 a.m. a neighbor in the area reported a suspicious male in their yard. A deputy was able to identify him as the suspect they were looking for.

Right now he is being held in the Franklin County Jail on an investigative hold.
