YAKIMA, WA - The victim has been identified as 23-year-old Jared Scroggins of Cowiche, who died from a bullet to the abdomen.

YAKIMA, WA - Police in Yakima are looking for suspects involved in a shooting Sunday night. 

Yakima police say it happened around 10:38 pm on the 800 Block of East D Street. When officers got there, they found a 23-year-old white man who had be shot once in the abdomen. The victim was taken the hospital where he later died. 

The victim was with a 17-year-old male at the time of the shooting but he wasn't hurt.

Witnesses say the two were walking west on D Street when shots were fired from an unknown assailant. No other information was immediately available.

Police say the victims don't appear to have gang ties.
