Streets closed in Yakima due to flooding

YAKIMA, WA - Flooding has closed sections of several streets and changes to Yakima Transit routes.

Sections of streets currently closed due to flooding include:

- Washington Avenue between 16th Avenue and 40th Avenue is now open.
- 40th Avenue from Nob Hill Boulevard to north of Wide Hollow Creek is open.
- Wide Hollow Road from Rose Lane to 96th Avenue is now open.
- Fruitvale Boulevard is closed from 34th Avenue to 40th Avenue.
- 40th Avenue is closed from River Road to Highway 12.
- The Highway 12 ramps at 40th Avenue are closed.
- The outside, southbound lane of 40th Avenue between Wide Hollow Creek and Washington Avenue is closed.
- 72nd Avenue between Nob Hill Boulevard and Mead Avenue, which has been closed, will be open to traffic soon.

- Yakima transit will not be picking up any passengers between 72nd and Nob Hill to 72nd and Washington. 40th and Fruitvale northbound and southbound is closed. 
- Route 5 & 2 are disregarding Washington, just using Nob Hill. 
- Routes 9, are taking a right on 40th and Englewood to 34th Ave., northbound on 34th Ave. to Fruitvale. Route 7, Is going on 34th Fruitvale southbound to Englewood westbound to 40th Ave. 
- Route 4, 34th and Fairbanks to 34th and Englewood northbound to Fruitvale.
- Route 3, goes up to 34th and Englewood northbound to River road.
- Routes 2 & 5 will not be servicing 64th and Washington to 72nd and Nob Hill. 
- Route 2, will be servicing 72nd Nob Hill eastbound on Nob Hill.
- Route 7 and 9 from Washington to 40th and Washington is open.
