Washington Beer Commission adds craft beer tasting event in Kennewick

Posted: Updated:

KENNEWICK, WA - The Washington Beer Commission is proud to announce that it will add a new craft beer tasting event in Kennewick, WA  to its tasting festival calendar. The inaugural Tri-Cities Craft Beer Festival will take place Saturday, April 29th, 2017, between noon and 6:00 p.m. at the Southridge Sports and Events Complex. Thirty-five Washington state breweries will be on hand pouring more than 100 unique craft beer creations. There will also be food trucks just outside the doors at the complex.

“We are so excited to be chosen by the Washington Beer Commission for one of their coveted annual craft beer tasting festivals,” said Emily Estes-Cross, Economic Development Manager, for the City of Kennewick.  “Bringing the Craft Beer Festival to Tri-Cities will not only provide another fun amenity for our community, but also will showcase our city to potential craft brewery business owners. There are wonderful opportunities for development here.”

The commission's inaugural Tri-Cities Craft Beer Festival will hope to emulate the successful Spokane, Bremerton and Everett tasting festivals which have averaged better than 3,000 attendees over the last several years. Tasting festivals are a great marketing tool for the state's breweries and the primary source of income for the Washington Beer Commission with all event proceeds reinvested in the marketing and promotion of Washington state craft beer.

Here is the festival calendar for Washington Beer Commission tasting events in 2017:

April 29th, Tri-Cities Craft Beer Festival - Southridge Sports and Events Complex, Kennewick

June 16th - 18th, Washington Brewers Festival - King County's Marymoor Park, Redmond

July 14th - 15th, Bremerton Summer Brewfest - Downtown Bremerton Waterfront, Bremerton

August 19th, Collaboration Festival - South Lake Union Discovery Center Lawn, Seattle

September 22nd - 23rd, Inland NW Craft Beer Festival - Avista Stadium, Spokane

November 4th, Tacoma Craft Beer Festival - Tacoma Dome Exhibition Hall, Tacoma
